I live in Texas, but want to use materials in Special Collections. Can Special Collections' staff conduct my research if I cannot come to use the collections myself?

Special Collections' reference staff can answer "ready reference" questions via telephone or email, but cannot conduct research or genealogy for remote researchers. Open Stacks’ books are available through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) or ABC Express. For manuscript or archival materials, staff can duplicate specific materials after consultation with a Special Collections’ staff member and after the completion and receipt of the Researcher Registration and Application for Duplication of Closed Collection Materials forms. Upon request, a list of local researchers for hire is available.
