The library has numerous resources for learning languages. Our Mango Languages database is a good one to start with. Not only does it include dialogue-based conversation modules for 63 languages, it also teaches language through actual movies for several major languages and has a free 'Library Edition' App (iOS or Android) you can use to study on the go or even offline. Mango is available from our homepage linked under 'Article Databases and E-Research Tools' > 'By Name' > 'M' > 'Mango Languages.'

List of languages in Mango: Arabic, Egyptian; Arabic, Levantine; Arabic, MSA; Armenian; Azerbaijani; Bengali; Biblical Hebrew; Chinese, Cantonese; Chinese, Mandarin; Croatian; Czech; Danish; Dari; Dutch; English; Farsi (Persian); Finnish; French; French, Canadian; German; Greek; Greek, Ancient; Greek, Koine; Haitian Creole; Hawaiian; Hebrew; Hindi; Hungarian; Icelandic; Indonesian; Irish; Italian; Japanese; Kazakh; Korean; Latin; Malay; Malayalam; Norwegian; Pashto; Pirate; Polish; Portuguese, Brazil; Punjabi; Romanian; Russian; Scottish Gaelic; Serbian; Slovak; Spanish, Latin America; Spanish, Spain; Swahili; Swedish; Tagalog; Tamil; Telugu; Thai; Turkish; Tuvan; Ukrainian; Urdu; Vietnamese; and Yiddish.
